What You’ll Do
- Identify and map the universe of potential target accounts; work with leadership to prioritize the most high-value and strategic opportunities
- Build and nurture relationships with all relevant stakeholders; provide regular market intelligence to leadership
- Create effective collateral that impactfully articulates the Company’s value proposition: you will be directly responsible for ensuring you have the materials you need, through collaboration and direct content creation
- Create and manage sales pipeline
- Recommend and participate in industry events, trade show and other opportunities to raise awareness of the Company among its target audience
- Directly close new opportunities, with input on pricing
- Remain as point of contact with existing accounts
- Uncover obstacles and provide executable plans to win larger commercial contracts; provide leadership to win the contracts
The Profile
Education and Related Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; engineering or related technical discipline is very helpful. Relevant real world experience is key
- 5+ years proven technical sales experience in innovative materials processing or parts manufacturing is required, coatings or energy generation and storage industry knowledge is strongly preferred
- Proven commercial success developing the market for an emerging technology or process – vs. leveraging existing resources to sell an established product
- Sales team building and management experience helpful
