What You’ll Do 

  • Support the commercial and technical activities of distributors, sub-distributors, OEM’s and end users that are already established as well as supporting further sales and revenue growth. 
  • Sales development through prospecting and development of new end users in key applications of decking, cladding, windows and doors.  
  • Support distributors’ sales managers in market development – particular focus on joint calls and collaboration. 
  • Specification sales development and execution through visits with architects and engineers. 
  • Develop a relationship with system partners (e.g. coating manufacturers) to ensure those companies have specification sheets for use to aid adoption and use by manufacturers and ease the sales process by distributor sales managers. 
  • Develop training and promotional tools and presentations (with colleagues). 
  • Frequently provide Distributor training programs. 

The Profile 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Sciences, Business, Marketing or related field.  
  • 5+ years in technical sales of premium products in the wood or other construction-related products space – you know how to value sell within the A&D Community, and understand the distribution sales model. This is the core requirement and a MUST-HAVE. 
  • You are comfortable working independently on jointly-determined activity goals as scheduled, consistently, reliably.   
  • Solid CRM skills, also MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel 
  • Willing to travel up to 70% of the time, most accounts will be within driving distance.
